Solo Show: The Day I Met You

We are pleased to announce Imran Mughal’s debut solo at Ogirikan. Imran views art as a bridge between the visible and invisible, a means of exploring forgotten memories, folklore, and the emotional essence of human experience.

Imran Mughal’s creative process is spontaneous and meditative, a method he describes as “unconscious dictation,” where imagination and intuition guide each piece. Drawing from cultural history, pop art, and music, Mughal reimagines inherited traditions to challenge established norms and shape a contemporary aesthetic language.

In his upcoming solo exhibition at Ogirikán Gallery, Mughal reflects on his journey, weaving together traces of the past with a modern, introspective lens. For him, art is both a reflection of the soul and a practice of self-discovery. Through his work, Mughal invites viewers to reflect, question, and connect with the timeless yet evolving stories of his journey, celebrating diversity and inspiring a deeper awareness of human creativity and its limitless potential.

Mughal was awarded with distinction at University of Punjab for his thesis in Textile Art and Design in 2010 where he further continued and secured his Master’s degree in 2012. Mughal has a vast experience of working on his own fashion brand as well as with many other established Pakistani brands before that. He brings the best of his textile aesthetics and techniques into his art practice which results into his unique blend of contemporary and indigenous expression.
